The last has not been heard about the murder of Alhaji
Olatunji Rasaq, alias Alaso (aka Alhaji Gay), who was
killed few weeks back in Alagbado area of Lagos state.
The arrested suspects includes the Baale of Temidire
Alagbado, Chief Nojeem Abioye, his son, and nine
others. They were arrested and detained over the
weekend, and are still being interrogated at the State
Department of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence,

Alhaji Gay was murdered during a protest by landlords
and residents in the community, led by Abioye, over
allegations of land grabbing. The protest was peaceful
until Tunji arrived the venue and began to record
events on video.
The angry protesters rushed towards him and he
ordered his driver to speed off, hitting one Mr. Raheem,
alias Denge. In his defence Chief Abioye told Vanguard:
“The community organised the protest because of the
activities of Tunji Alaso.
“The purpose of the conference was to create
awareness in the area and to tell the world that Tunji
has been threatening the peace of the community with
his thugs as he was selling off people’s land which
were vacant and even those that are under
construction.
“It was a peaceful protest until Tunji came and
distrupted the protest with his thugs.” Lagos State
Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu,
said 10 suspects, including Chief Abioye, were in
Police custody at SDCII, Yaba, adding that
